The Psychological Counseling Service is an open consultation service, free of charge, that offers confidential advice and focuses on finding a solution to your problems and improving your self-management. Counseling can be frequented once or at multiple times according to your individual requirements.
University can be a stressful and often unfamiliar environment and you may find yourself in an emotionally challenging situation. Sometimes you may prefer not to tell friends and family about how you are feeling. We can support you before a situation becomes overwhelming and seek solutions in times of, e.g. exam anxiety, fear of failure, difficulties in concentrating, burnout, or procrastination (constant postponing of tasks). Other types of problems which students discuss with us include personal issues, conflicts in relationships, detachment of parents or friends at home, home sickness, withdrawal, isolation or loneliness, anxieties, sexual assault, and depression.
Life as a student can be very demanding and seeking help and advice is not a sign of weakness but of strength. Experience has shown us that the earlier you tackle your problems, the better the outcome. Together we will try to find ways out of any emotional, psychological and physical turmoil and enable you to find possibilities of relief and sources of strength.
