Aim of the module (expected learning outcomes and competencies to be acquired):
Students learn:

  • How to do data analysis (data management, data manipulation, data visualization)
  • How to give and get feedback from peer students.
  • How to read and write empirical papers.

Contents of the module:
The seminar deals with the empirical analysis of questionnaire data. Students are given the opportunity to work on empirical projects under intense supervision. We embed our empirical projects in a seminar paper.

Teaching and learning methods:
Lectures in data analysis (data management and manipulation) and academic writing (development of scientifc question, literature search and citation rules).
