Contents of the module:
This project seminar will be conducted as a follow-up project to previous IOM mas¬ter's seminars. The seminar series started in summer semester 2009 with a pro¬ject entitled "Offshore Internships in India as a Busi¬ness". As a result, an organization called VIBE Internships was established, providing internships in leading Indian high-tech companies.
The scope of this semester's project is to develop, implement and run a marketing strategy for VIBE Internships, targeting students at German, Austrian and Swiss universities. The project encompasses all necessary phases, starting with market analysis, all the way to executing marketing operations.
From a marketing perspective, a major project challenge is to create awareness of today's global industry structures among the target group. From an organizational and technical perspective, an important issue is to effectively include new media such as social networks in the marketing strategy.
We will run the project employing professional project management. Participants will be assigned tasks and report the fulfillment of the tasks with the help of online project management tools.
Since this is a real project, students interested in participating are expected to show a robust and sustainable commitment throughout the entire semester. To be admitted to the project, you have to submit:
- Letter of motivation (why do you want to participate, apart from getting ECTS points)
- Curriculum vitae
- Copies of bachelor's degree and grade reports; master's grades obtained so far by September 26, 2011.
Please note that the project seminar is meant for students close to completing their master's studies, not for those who just began.
