Aim of the module (expected learning outcomes and competencies to be acquired):
This course provides insights to the basic principles of production, logistics and supply chain management. The specific problems of designing, managing and improving production and service processes are outlined and solutions approaches are discussed.
Professional competence:
The students know and understand
- the basic concepts of production, logistics and supply chain management
- the managerial functions of planning and control oft he material flow and the provision of services.
They gain expertise in
- planning and controling production and logistic processes,
- applying selected methods of operations management,
- evaluating production and logistic processes in regard to the market environment.
