Prerequisites: There is only a limited amount of 25 spots available in this module. Please attend the first session to apply for the module. If there are more applicants than spots the selection will be based on previously completed classes at our chair (comparable to the selection process for final theses). Please notice the session at Schloss Gollwitz with extra seminar costs between 60-80 EUR. Grundlagenausbildung should be completed.

Aim of the module (expected learning outcomes and competencies to be acquired):
Students should learn capabilities to analyse scientific perspectives and problems in reference to relevant theories and models. Furthermore they should learn the scientific approach of argumentation and rationale in a written paper, presentation as well as discussion. This seminar serves as a fundamental basis for the master thesis.
General competencies: 
This seminar focuses on the transfer of key qualifications. By working independently students should understand complex problems, find well-reasoned solutions for discussion and advocate them in class.

Contents of the module:
This seminar refers to current questions in management research, which are crucial for the practices of organisations. Moreover, essential knowledge of academic work (finding literature, writing, academic presentation and discussion) is introduced and put into practice.
