Prof. Dr. Albrecht Söllner

Prof. Dr. Albrecht Söllner holds the chair of General Business Administration, especially International Management at the Faculty of Economics of the European University Viadrina in Frankfurt (Oder). From October 2002 to March 2008 he was also the academic director of the International Business Administration course.

After studying business administration from 1984 to 1988 at the Free University of Berlin, Professor Söllner received his doctorate there in 1992. He received his habilitation at the Humboldt University of Berlin in 1999. This was followed by a substitution for the Chair of International Management at the Otto-von-Guericke University, Magdeburg, and a teaching position in marketing at the Aarhus School of Business, Aarhus, Denmark. In 2000, he was offered the Chair of Marketing at the Aarhus School of Business and the Chair of General Business Administration at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität Münster, which he followed. Albrecht Söllner is a member of the Editorial Board of the Gabler Edition Wissenschaft "Business-to-Business-Marketing" and of the Editorial Review Board of the "Advances in Business Marketing and Purchasing" as well as of the Verein für Socialpolitik and the International Society for New Institutional Economics. Professor Söllner maintains close contacts to business practice through his consulting and training activities in companies and his work as a member of the supervisory board.
