Aim of the module (expected learning outcomes and competencies to be acquired):
The aim of this course is to introduce the participants to basic concepts and central paradigms of the philosophy of science. They will be enabled to classify research from a philosophy of science’s perspective. Further, they will learn to reflect, discuss and judge research approaches critically.

Contents of the module:
Basic concepts of philosophy of science, research paradigms and their influence on research designs, quality criteria of research.
