Seminar Simulation as Decision Support

Information WS 14/15

The master seminar Simulation as Decision Support gives an introduction into the field of discrete-event simulation. The basic principles of a simulation study will be discussed and explained using the software AnyLogic by XjTek. In the practical part, the students will develop and conduct a small simulation study on a production or service process.

In order to successfully complete the course, students will have to present their simulation study and to submit a seminar paper. Regular attendance is mandatory.

The seminar is limited to 20 students. If you want to participate please send an E-Mail to with a current overview of your grades or a copy of your bachelor certificate attached. Please specify whether register for a T-Module (6 ECTS, new FSO) or Masterseminar (7 ECTS, old SPO).
The registration period closes on Friday, October 10th, 2014. Please note that the registration date is irrelevant for the selection process in case the participant limit is reached. Feedback is sent via Email until Monday, October 13th, 2014.
