Course objectives
In Preparation for a dramatically and fast modifying business environment students of the bachelor program International Business Administration acquire academic methods, which empower them to recognize, to formulate and eventually to deal with microeconomic as well as macroeconomic problems. Students obtain essential skills and expertise to master present business challenges. In addition, the modernisation of both disciplines business administration as well as economics is guaranteed through a continuous confrontation with current research issues.
The European University Viadrina is characterized by an international profile, which is emphasized by close international cooperation, a significant share of international students and lecturers from reputable international universities.
Besides the conveyance of the ability to think scientifically and act responsibly fundamental knowledge about different language areas as well as cultural areas should be communicated and internalised.
The international orientation of the European University Viadrina and particularly of the IBA-bachelor's program secures access to the international labour market and increases the intercultural competencies.
Finally an appropriate utilisation of modern information and communication systems is secured to be optimally prepared for the practise.
Courses are held in English (50%-75%) and German (25%-50%). Courses during the first three semesters are completely held in English. In semester four to six students can choose from both English and German courses.
