Upon completion of the course, students should be able to
1. Demonstrate knowledge of foreign exchange terminology and principles behind foreign exchange and calculate basic foreign exchange transactions.
2. Demonstrate knowledge of global markets, indexes, and valuation issues related to equity and debt.
3. Demonstrate knowledge of the various forms of financial instruments available for foreign exchange risk management.
4. Demonstrate knowledge of alternative investments and their role in global investing.
5. Demonstrate knowledge of basic strategies and techniques associated with foreign exchange risk management.
Contents of the module:
An advanced study of investments topics with an emphasis on global aspects of investing. Currency exchange, global equity markets and valuations, global bond investing and the use of derivatives will be discussed.
